Philip a Northern California native lives with his wife and son in Alameda. Many Alamedans know Philip through his mother, Marlynn Kaake, who taught science at Lincoln Middle school for over thirty years. He loves the vibrancy of the Bay Area, the endless outdoor activities, and the culture of living in what he calls ‘one of the greatest places on earth’. He is an avid cyclist with a wealth of information on the best riding trails in the bay area.
Philip is committed to staying involved and close to his community. He has watched it grow and change and enjoys being a part of it. He is an active PTA parent, an after school art teacher for the Alameda Education Foundation, founding member of the Art Docent Program at Paden Elementary School, and a coach for the Alameda Youth Basketball League.
